Last spring we spent a week in Disney World just before Covid-19 spread across the U.S. and closed down the parks. Now that Disney World has reopened and we have kicked off a new year, I wanted to give park-goers a sneak peek of what to expect at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival in 2021!

Here are 8 beautiful Disney topiaries we saw throughout Epcot last March.

Topiaries at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

1. Sorcerer Mickey in the Showcase Plaza

Once of the first topiaries you’ll see when you enter the park is located in the pathway that connects Future World to the World Showcase. Last year this huge focal topiary featured Sorcerer Mickey and his broom companions from Fantasmic!

2. Figment in the Showcase Plaza

Since we visited at the tail end of the Epcot Festival of the Arts, we saw lots of fun Figment-themed decorations all over the park. This topiary acted as the perfect transition between the two fun festivals!

3. Buzz Lightyear in Future World East

We found Buzz Lightyear positioned just outside the entrance to Mission Space in Future World East. He was one of the most detailed topiaries we saw!

4. Woody and Bo in Future World West

Buzz would get lonely without his fellow toy companions. We discovered Woody, Bo, and her sheep near a playground in Future World West.

5. Pandas in the China Pavillion

This was my favorite topiary in the whole park! Three sweet little panda topiaries  greeted guests in front of the pond in the China pavilion. We had a great view of them while we waited in line to meet Mulan.

6. Lady and the Tramp in the Italy Pavillion

At the edge of the Italy pavilion, where a bridge looks over Epcot’s huge lake, Lady and the Tramp were ready to share some topiary spaghetti and meatballs.

7. Elsa and Anna in the Norway Pavillion

On our way to ride Frozen Ever After we glimpsed beautiful Elsa and Anna topiaries in the Norway pavilion.

8. Winnie the Pooh and Friends in the U.K. Pavillion

We encountered Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, and Rabbit lined up along the front of a shop in the U.K. pavillion.

The 2021 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

While Disney has been forced to scale back some of Epcot’s other festivals a bit, the Flower and Garden Festival this year will have topiaries out in full force from March 3 to July 5. A map on the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival page on Disney’s website appears to promise 40 new topiaries for guests to enjoy this year!

While wearing masks and social distancing is essential to keep the park employees and guests safe, Covid won’t ruin your opportunity to enjoy Disney magic. Are you planning a trip to Disney World in 2021? Share your pics and ideas with me on Instagram!
