Live Love Local is my passion project. It is an opportunity to try new things and to be creative every single day.

It began with my love for writing and photography, cultivated during my years as a local journalist in Rockwall, TX. After my career shifted into social media marketing, I missed spotlighting local businesses and events for my community. I wanted to keep writing about the people and places that make local communities unique.

I created Live Love Local as my creative outlet when I’m not clocked in at work from 9 to 5. It has pushed me to get out of my house and my comfort zone to experience more of the vibrant local life in my hometown and beyond.

Now I write to share the places I love with as many people as I can. On this blog you will find hidden gems from all over the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and beyond. That includes upcoming events, restaurant recommendations, places to shop small, and  traveling tips for trips all over the country.

My goal is to support the local businesses and events that are the lifeblood of  our culture in DFW, and to visit new places and experience the local life wherever I go. I am so happy you found this blog, and I hope it helps you take the first few steps into your own new local adventure.
