When I visited Disney World as a kid, pictures snapped on my mom’s disposable camera were just a momentary distraction from all of the magical fun. But now when I visit Disney World as an adult, pictures are an integral part of the experience!

For our most recent family vacation to Disney World, I scoped out the best Disney World Instagram spots online ahead of time and corralled everyone into the frames for the ultimate digital family scrapbook. While some of the locations on my list were pretty obviously noticeable and included cast members armed with Memory Maker cameras, some of them were hidden murals tucked away off the beaten path. These were my favorites because we could achieve the ultimate Disney Instagram dream: photos without people walking around in the background!

Whether you’re committed to “The Gram” like me or you just want one decent family photo with your kids in peace and quiet, this list can help you achieve your goals. It includes spots from all four Disney World parks, Disney Springs, and even a Disney World Resort. Here are the 30 best Disney World Instagram spots.

Disney World Instagram Spots in Magic Kingdom

1. Liberty Square Bridge

The first thing most people do when they arrive at Magic Kingdom is march down Main Street U.S.A. and take a family photo in front of the castle. The only problem? There are approximately 50 other people with the same idea walking around in the background of the picture!

My favorite spot to take pictures of (and in front of) Cinderella Castle is on the bridge connecting the main hub to Liberty Square. Since the bridge hangs over a moat, there are no other tourists behind you. This spot also offers a unique side angle of the castle that shows off all of its stunning architectural design.

2. The Tangled Bathroom

Since Rapunzel is one of my favorite Disney characters, I love her tower and themed bathroom located at the back of Fantasyland. At night you can take a photo holding one of the floating lanterns from the movie!

3. The Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups Ride

The bright, colorful tea cups ride makes a perfect photo backdrop for close up shots, selfies, or group photos. Stand up next to the metal fence encircling the ride and it will create a warm glow behind the focal point of your photo. Just make sure to stand clear of the ride’s exit so you won’t block people as they get off.

4. The Purple Wall

The purple wall has achieved Instagram fame because of the perfect soft lighting this spot offers. It is located outside the Monster’s Inc Laugh Floor near the entrance to Tomorrowland. I was so excited to take a photo in front of it wearing my purple Tangled shirt!

(Get your own Tangled shirt from a shop featured in this post.)

5. The Space Wall

Just a few feet away from the purple wall is the entrance to Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, a personal favorite ride of mine. The wall outside makes an excellent backdrop too!

6. Behind Peter Pan’s Flight

The area that connects Liberty Square to Fantasyland behind Peter Pan’s Flight has seriously cute enchanted cottage vibes that make an excellent backdrop for pictures. It’s also a great place to stop and take a break while you eat a Mickey ice cream bar!

Disney World Instagram Spots in Animal Kingdom

7. The Tree of Life

While a group photo in front of the Tree of Life is pretty much a given for visitors to Animal Kingdom, what many people don’t realize is that you can get some even cooler pictures if you walk past the cast members in the Memory Maker photo spots and get up close to the tree. You can either do this at the main entrance to Discovery Island, or on the walking trails beside the tree. If you time your arrival just right, you can catch the Winged Encounters show where beautiful macaws take flight and land right in front of the tree. That makes for a fun experience and a much cooler picture.

8. The Moss Wall

The Moss Wall is another location popularized on Instagram for its aesthetic appeal as a backdrop. It is located inside Pandora near Flight of Passage and the Canteen.

9. Mickey Mural

This Mickey Mural wall  is located near Harambe Market in Animal Kingdom’s Africa. It’s the perfect backdrop for some classic black and red Minnie ears.

10. Lion King Mural

Just a few feet away from the Mickey Mural wall is this adorable Lion King Mural.

11. Discovery Lake

Expedition Everest looks spectacular from across Discovery Lake. Use it as a backdrop for a family pic, or take a shot of it solo so that you can capture its reflection on the water.

Disney World Instagram Spots in Epcot

12. Spaceship Earth

It’s not a trip to Epcot without a picture of this giant golf ball! Here’s a pro tip: instead of stopping at the entrance to take your picture, get up close to it and shoot from below.

13. Bridge to the France Pavilion

The World Showcase is easily one of my favorite places in any Disney park, ever. The charming France pavilion is a lovely spot for photos, but I like to take pictures on the way over there even better! Stop anywhere along the bridge between the U.K. and France and you’ll be able to see the Eiffel Tower in the background.

14. Phone Booth in United Kingdom Pavilion

Whether you take a photo outside or inside of them, the bright red old fashioned phone booths in the U.K. pavilion make excellent Instagram material.

15. Torii Gate in Japan Pavilion

This one is often a Memory Maker photo spot where you can ask a cast member to take a picture of your whole group right in front of the floating gate. But you can also approach the gate from different side angles and get unique perspectives of the lake and Spaceship Earth behind it.

16. Neptune Fountain in Italy Pavilion

Fontana Di Nettuno or The Neptune Fountain is located towards the back of the Italy pavilion. It is inspired by the Trevi Fountain in Rome. It’s the perfect place to imagine yourself on an international adventure!

17. Temple of Heaven in China Pavilion

The China pavilion is probably my favorite spot in the World Showcase! The architecture is just stunning. For maximum impact in your photos, shoot a picture across the pond in front of the Temple of Heaven building (where you can watch Reflections of China).

18. The Land Wall

Another famous Instagram wall located at the entrance to The Land Building. Stop for a picture on your way to ride Soarin’!

Disney World Instagram Spots in Hollywood Studios

19. The Millennium Falcon

How can you visit Galaxy’s Edge and NOT take an iconic Millennium Falcon pic? There’s a Memory Maker photo spot next to Docking Bay Food and Cargo that works pretty well, but I recommend taking some of your own pictures directly below the ship near the entrance to Smuggler’s Run.

20. The Blue Milk Stand

The Blue Milk has almost usurped the classic Mickey ice cream bar as my favorite treat in the parks, so of course I had to take a picture of it! The colorful green and blue orbs and rusty canisters set the scene for Galaxy’s Edge and make a great backdrop.

21. The X-Wing Plane

This one is 100% a Memory Maker spot, but since those aren’t located on the map I think it still has the right to appear on this list. Don’t miss your chance to look like a Resistance Hero in front of your very own X-Wing! You can find the plane next to the exit for Rise of the Resistance.

22. The Army Men Toys

Honestly the entire Toy Story Land area is really Instagramable in my opinion, but one of my favorite parts about it are the army men toys who wander through the park and occasionally surprise guests with  drumline performances. It makes for a great picture, and you can enjoy their fantastic skill!

23. Slinky Dog Dash

The section of Slinky Dog Dash where Jesse and Rex are standing on toy blocks is my favorite photo backdrop in Toy Story Land (even above the famous Popsicle Wall). It shrinks the photo subjects down to the size of toys, and it adds plenty of color and ambiance. Sometimes Buzz Lightyear poses for pictures with guests in this spot too!

Instagram Spots in Disney Springs

24. The Hot Air Balloon

We always schedule Disney Springs for the first day of our trip to Orlando, so that we won’t lose time in the parks from traveling. After we park, I immediately make a beeline for this spot beside The Landing Dock. The hot air balloon and the glistening Lake Buena Vista water always put me in a vacation mood!

25. The Lagoon Bridge

The bridge that connects The Landing Dock area to the Disney Springs mall is also a gorgeous spot for pictures. As the sun goes down, the lanterns on the water twinkle!

26. World of Disney

World of Disney is more than shopping – it’s an experience! Commemorate it with a photo next to Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty outside.

(Shop my Cinderella shirt in this post.)

26. The Lego Sculptures

One of Austin’s favorite spots in all of the Disney World properties is beside this gigantic Lego dragon sculpture. If that’s not your cup of tea or the sun is pointing the wrong way, there are also Lego sculptures of Star Wars, Frozen, and Toy Story characters at the shop nearby.

27. Lake Buena Vista

Wait for the sun to set and then gaze across Lake Buena Vista at the enormous paddle boat or the beautiful Disney resorts nearby. If you’re lucky, you might even spot a water taxi!

Instagram Spots at Disney’s Riviera Resort

28. The Sky Gondolas

Even if you aren’t staying at Disney’s Riviera Resort, you can still visit and marvel at the new sky gondolas! They are bright and colorful, and most of the cars are embellished with a theme character. We parked on the Riviera property and rode the gondolas over to Epcot just for the experience, and it was awesome! It made me want to stay on Disney property the next time we visit.

Note that there is not guaranteed parking for anyone who isn’t a Riviera guest, and you will have to ask the parking attendant nicely if you can visit the property.

29. The Peter Pan Mosaic

In the tunnel that connects the Riviera Resort to the Sky Gondolas platform, you’ll find 4 stunning mosaic scenes. The first two are London at nightfall and Mermaid Lagoon from Peter Pan.

30. The Tangled Mosaic

The other mosaic scene at the Riviera Resort depicts the tower and the floating lanterns from Tangled! It takes the cake for my favorite scene anywhere on Disney property.
