Are you looking for the most beautiful photo locations in and around Denver, CO to capture your vacation memories? You have come to the right place! My husband and I recently spent a weekend in Denver enjoying the beautiful Rocky Mountains and vibrant city life.

Here are a few instagrammable places around Denver, CO you can visit to get the perfect shot.

Instagrammable Places Around Denver, CO

1. Confluence Park

We stumbled upon this park by accident when we stopped to get Little Man Ice Cream. It’s a series of bridges and pathways surrounding the confluence of two rivers that run across the city of Denver. It’s free to park and to visit, and you can grab a treat from the best ice cream shop in town or shop in America’s only Fjallraven brick and mortar location while you’re in the area!

2. RiNo Arts District

This part of the city is filled with tons of stunning murals. We spent an hour of our time in Denver just driving around and looking at all of the beautiful street art. Definitely worth a stop on your itinerary.

3. Union Station

If you don’t visit the iconic Union Station, did you even go to Denver? Make sure you snap a photo in front of the sign, then grab a cocktail or treat at one of the restaurants inside. You can also use the Denver Light Rail train stop as a starting point to get around the city.

4. Colfax Avenue

Colfax Avenue is home to the artsy Bluebird District, where poetry is painted on the sidewalks and kids play in a huge urban park. We visited to eat at the Denver Biscuit Company and shop at Tattered Cover book store, but I was struck by all of the unique shops and interesting street art. My favorite installation is sidewalk haikus that run the entire length of the street, spray painted by a high school art student. She asked residents of Colfax to put their feelings about the area into stanzas so she could write them on the ground permanently.

5. Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Red Rocks Amphitheatre is known nationwide as Denver’s incredible concert venue. But you can visit and hike around the actual red rocks even when there aren’t any live performances happening. The striking sandstone and the birds-eye-view of the Denver skyline make for some beautiful photos.

6. The Boulder Dushanbe Tea House

About 30 minutes outside of the main city in Boulder, CO is the beautiful Dushanbe Tea House. It was a gift from the mayor of Boulder’s sister city in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Sip and savor from chai tea with brunch and snap pictures of the elaborately hand-painted ceilings and walls.

7. Rocky Mountain National Park

Make sure you spend at least a little bit of time taking in the scenic mountain views in Rocky Mountain National Park. If you have a cute toboggan to wear in your pictures, even better!

8. The Dillon Ice Castles

Finally, my favorite excursion we took from Denver, CO was to the Dillon Ice Castles. Out of all the instagrammable places around Denver, this has to be the most jaw-dropping! Wander through this winter wonderland and image you are stepping foot into the movie “Frozen.”
