Last year around Christmas time we hopped on our broomsticks and flew to The London Baker shop for a special Harry Potter Tea. This spring, The London Baker team decided to bid farewell to the epic saga Game of Thrones with a feast! We were invited to join the celebration and snack on some Westeros-worthy treats while watching the series finale.
The Game of Thrones Feast Menu
Here is the menu of creative concoctions The London Baker staff served up:
Peter Baelish’s Little Finger Sandwiches – Roast beef and cucumber dill tea sandwiches.
Theon Greyjoy’s Pigs in a Blanket – Bratwurst and cheddar cheese wrapped in puff pastry.
The Iron Scone – Roasted pear and vanilla bean scone.
Sir Brienne of Tart – Mini wildberry tart.
Lady Sansa’s Lemon Cakes – Mini lemon cakes topped with whipped cream.
The Red Wedding Cake – Almond wedding cake with red icing.
Wildfire Jello Shots – Citrus flavored non-alcoholic jello shots.
White Walker Elixir – Sugary blue elixir with secret ingredients. \
The Game of Thrones Watch Party
In addition to the delicious feast that was a foodie’s dream come true, the London Baker team provided guests with plenty of photo opps and entertainment. Outside was a photobooth with props and a toy crossbow that you could aim at a target of Prince Joffrey’s face. Inside was an incredible detailed replica of The Iron Throne. Naturally, we took dozens of pictures sitting in that!
(Austin was channeling his inner Ben Wyatt. You know the Parks and Rec episode I mean!)
After the sun went down, we all gathered around a huge TV screen to watch the series finale premiere live. It was the perfect send off, even if the episode itself was a little bit disappointing. Watching the show sitting on the Iron Throne and snacking on medieval treats made our night.
Future Events at The London Baker
The London Baker team loves to throw themed parties, and they have several lined up for this year. They have big plans for a Stranger Things celebration to kick off the new season this July, and maybe a Sherlock Holmes or Jane Austen tea later this year. The detailed decorations and exceptional food will definitely continue to make us repeat customers.
