On our recent weekend trip to Colorado, we fell so in love with the Denver Biscuit Company that we ate there twice in just four days! Here’s everything you need to know about this breakfast gem.
The Denver Biscuit Company Concept
When you hear the word “biscuit,” you probably think of biscuits and gravy or buttered biscuits with jam. While biscuits normally take a backseat to main courses like pancakes or omelettes, here the biscuits are the star.
At Denver Biscuit Company, huge biscuits are the base of practically every entree on the menu. This includes unique sandwiches, shortcake, biscuit pot pie, biscuit French toast, and more.
Our Menu Favorites
We wanted to try the biscuits in their purest form, so we ordered plain biscuits with a jam trio: strawberry rhubarb, apple butter, and raspberry. The biscuits were buttery perfection, and every flavor of jam was delicious.
Austin ordered the biscuits and gravy, which was ooey gooey amazingness. I ordered the Ellsworth Sandwich, which features honey mustard and delectable fried chicken. We also sampled their mimosas and coffee cocktails!
Denver Biscuit Company Locations
We visited the Denver Biscuit Company location in the Colfax Bluebird District right before heading over to Tattered Cover. Denver Biscuit Company has locations all over the city, so no matter where you’re staying there’s probably only a short drive to biscuits! They also have a location in Colorado Springs, and another one coming to Boulder soon.
