Austin surprised me with reservations to the cutest Dallas restaurant simply because he knew how much I love all things floral. And Dahlia on Ross has flowers everywhere!

Here’s everything we tried at this iconic Dallas spot and some detailed pictures of the ambiance there.

The Atmosphere at Dahlia on Ross

Dahlia on Ross is known for the enormous flower chandelier behind the counter of its bar. It is breathtakingly pretty in person,Β  but it’s not the only place that flowers make an appearance. Outside on the patio you can dine underneath dozens of brightly colored live flowers in hanging planters. Inside you’ll see floral decor dotted around the boho chic space, and plush sage green couches are swapped for traditional restaurant booths. There’s tons of natural light (perfect for pictures) and the whole vibe is equal parts elegant and relaxed, like a great floral print outfit you can dress up or down.

The Drinks at Dahlia on Ross

We started our experience with drinks, and I asked for the prettiest drink on the menu strictly so I could take pictures of it with the flower bar. Our waitress recommended the Brazilian 75 because it has edible flowers in it! I’m happy to report this cocktail was as delicious as it was pretty! It was very sweet like a juice, which is exactly what I like. If want something a little more mellow than my drink order, I’d recommend the Yellow Rose Old Fashioned or one of the glasses on their extensive wine menu.

The Food at Dahlia on Ross

We were originally just planning to order entrees to keep our bill within a certain budget, but spotting the Whipped Feta Dip on the menu stopped us in our tracks. Creamy feta cheese topped with local honey and chopped walnuts? We couldn’t resist! It was served with delicious crostini.

For our entrees I ordered the Cacio E Pepe pasta and Austin ordered the Ratatouille, and then we split them together. The Ratatouille was incredible, with the freshest tomato-y flavor I’ve ever tasted and perfectly cooked vegetables.
