All aboard the Polar Express! The Trains at NorthPark have officially arrived at their mini stations, and we couldn’t wait to see them for ourselves. This year exhibits included the Golden Gate Bridge, Grand Central Station, The White House, Downtown Dallas, and even the State Fair of Texas.
The Trains at NorthPark is one of the most charming Christmas traditions in the Dallas area. For 31 years, families have enjoyed the little toy train villages together and given back to fellow Dallas families in the process. All of the proceeds from The Trains at NorthPark benefit Ronald McDonald House of Dallas in their endeavors to accommodate parents of sick children while they stay in the hospital.
We had a great time pretending to be kids again and gazing in wonder at the detailed exhibits. Here are some of our favorite photos from our date with the trains.
The North Pole
The only train that can visit the North Pole is the Polar Express of course! This entire exhibit was dusted with powdery white snow. You can spot Santa’s tiny reindeer peeking out from behind the train here.
The Miniature United States
Each section of The Trains at NorthPark exhibit was elaborately designed to portray a different area of the United States. You’ll probably recognize San Francisco, Washington D.C., and New York City in these pictures.
Dallas, Texas Trains
The Trains at NorthPark wouldn’t be complete without paying homage to its home city! The State Fair was one of our favorite spots in the whole exhibit. It had lots of moving components, including tiny carnival rides. The miniature NorthPark mall was also a very cute addition to the Dallas landscape.
Catch The Trains at NorthPark exhibit before it leaves the station!
The Trains at North Park lasts from Nov. 17, 2018 – Jan. 6, 2019. It costs $7 per adult and $4 per child under 12 years old, and all of the profits benefit Ronald McDonald House of Dallas. This Christmas tradition would make a great family activity while kids are out of school for Christmas Break, or a cute and creative date idea. Do you have any cool photos of the NorthPark trains?
